euNetworks, a pan-European digital infrastructure company, has been announced as a connectivity partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud. It is one of the first partnerships for the initiative and aims to provide private, direct, and secure connectivity for customers.

The AWS European Sovereign Cloud is fully located within the European Union and is designed to address requirements around data sovereignty, including data residency, operational independence, and resilience. euNetworks aims to support these requirements by providing secure, direct connections intended to maintain data residency when linking to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud.

euNetworks operates a data centre-to-data centre connectivity network across Europe and offers a Cloud Connect solution designed to provide high availability along with flexible security and resilience options.

Data sovereignty remains an area of focus for organisations in Europe, particularly in light of evolving regulatory requirements. euNetworks’ European network footprint and private connectivity services are positioned to support organisations that require compliant data handling within sovereign cloud environments.

Marisa Trisolino, CEO of euNetworks said: “Data sovereignty is one of the most critical topics for businesses right now and this priority is only set to grow in strength, particularly in the EU and wider Europe where regulatory pressures continue to rise."

The partnership with AWS European Sovereign Cloud reflects euNetworks’ involvement in seeking to enable secure connectivity for sovereign cloud platforms across Europe.
