Essentra, a global manufacturer and supplier of essential components, has announced the acquisition of Boteco Srl, an Italian company specialising in mechanical components. The initial value of the acquisition is €7.4 million.

Boteco, based in Vicenza, Italy, has more than 50 years of operating history and serves over 900 customers worldwide. Its product range includes machine components such as handles, knobs, feet, and hinges, which complement Essentra’s existing product portfolio and support its activities in the automation sector.

Essentra is already familiar with Boteco’s operations through an existing commercial relationship between the two companies. Boteco’s R&D activities include work on materials and product development, with a focus that includes the use of more sustainable materials, supported by its production and development facilities.

The acquisition is part of Essentra’s inorganic growth strategy and is intended to support increased manufacturing capability within Europe. The transaction will be financed through Essentra’s existing debt facilities and includes the possibility of additional earn-out payments depending on Boteco’s future performance.

Boteco reported revenues of approximately €7.0 million in 2025. The transaction is expected to complete in early 2026, subject to the satisfaction of remaining pre-conditions.

This acquisition forms part of Essentra’s broader expansion activity, including previous acquisitions, and combines both organic development and acquisition-led growth as part of its overall business strategy.
