A Healthier Earth (AHE), the research and development arm of Pure Data Centres Group, has announced a carbon removal platform designed for the data centre industry. The platform is intended to provide biochar and carbon credits to data centre operators, hyperscalers, corporations, and institutional clients in Europe and other regions.

The platform reflects an approach in which carbon removal is incorporated into digital infrastructure development. According to the company, the initiative is intended to support both operational and sustainability objectives within the sector.

Growing demand for carbon management solutions has been linked to the expansion of AI infrastructure and broader corporate climate commitments. In this context, access to verified carbon removal solutions is becoming increasingly important for some businesses operating in Europe and internationally. AHE states that its platform is intended to support long-term client relationships and enable scaling while addressing sustainability targets.

To support the platform’s development, AHE is expanding its commercial, scientific, and operational teams. The company says this is intended to help translate research into deployable solutions, maintain material consistency, and oversee standards across supply chains.

AHE’s model is designed to address challenges within the carbon removal market, including fragmentation and varying standards between projects. The company aims to provide a more standardised biochar-based solution suitable for institutional-scale demand.

The platform combines AHE’s own production capabilities with partner-led projects under a shared governance and standards framework. Carbon credits associated with the platform are intended to be certified under the Isometric Standard and supported by monitoring, reporting, and verification software from Mangrove Systems.

According to AHE, integrating developers, investors, and buyers into a single operational framework is intended to provide greater consistency and accountability. The platform uses centralised governance, technical standards, and digital verification processes to coordinate local projects across multiple regions.

For Pure DC, the platform is intended to support engagement with hyperscale customers and large-scale buyers on decarbonisation initiatives connected to digital infrastructure projects. The company says these efforts are designed to align climate objectives with infrastructure development while supporting environmental and community-related goals.
