Glesys, in collaboration with Trevian Asset Management, is launching Campus Oulu, a new data centre campus in Oulu, Finland, designed to support AI workloads. The project is planned as a modular setup, with potential long-term expansion capacity of up to 300 MW.

The initial phase is designed for an IT load of approximately 8 MW, with completion of the first phase scheduled for autumn 2026. The campus includes liquid-cooled infrastructure and is planned to operate using green energy from the outset.

Campus Oulu will expand Glesys’s existing infrastructure network, which includes cloud, colocation, and infrastructure services across the Nordic region, with current locations such as Helsinki, Pori, and Tampere.

The site is located in Oulu, a Nordic region known for its technology and research activity. The location aligns with Glesys’s operations in ICT, AI, and edge computing.

Trevian Asset Management is involved in the delivery of the project, focusing on infrastructure development and digital platform-related initiatives. The project is also associated with Finland’s role in the development of digital infrastructure and high-performance computing environments.

The expansion framework includes Cube Infrastructure Managers, in line with their investment approach focused on diversified data center portfolios.

Overall, Campus Oulu adds to the data centre and digital infrastructure capacity in the region and supports broader IT infrastructure development in Northern Europe.
