SailPoint has announced an integration with the Claude Compliance API. The integration is intended to improve visibility and governance for organisations using Claude Enterprise, supporting identity and access management in AI-enabled environments.

As AI tools become more widely used in business settings, organisations face additional security and governance requirements. The SailPoint connector for the Claude Compliance API is designed to provide identity security controls within this context.

Through integration with Anthropic’s Anthropic Claude Enterprise, SailPoint’s identity security platform can be used to manage access and user governance within those environments. This enables organisations to apply existing identity security policies to AI-related systems.

Key capabilities described for the integration within the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud include:

  • Unified visibility: Centralised management of Claude Enterprise users to support consistent governance across systems.
  • Governance of non-human identities: Support for identifying and managing AI agents and other non-human identities within identity governance frameworks.
  • Adaptive identity application: Context-based access controls and risk evaluation across AI agent and application ecosystems, including Claude-based agents.

The announcement reflects a broader industry trend in which identity governance is being extended beyond human users to include machines, APIs, workloads, and AI agents.

The integration is positioned as a way to help organisations apply security and compliance controls in environments where AI tools are increasingly deployed, including addressing risks such as unmanaged or “shadow” AI systems that may not be fully visible to security teams.
