Commvault has announced a partnership with Microsoft to support AI and cyber resilience in cloud environments.
The collaboration is intended to help organisations address growing data security and recovery requirements as they continue migrating workloads to the cloud and adopting AI-based systems.
As part of the agreement, Commvault’s AI and cyber resilience capabilities will be made available as a native independent software vendor (ISV) service on Microsoft Azure. This integration allows Azure customers to access Commvault’s resilience tools directly within the Azure environment.
The service is designed to support recovery of data, applications, and identities in situations such as cyber incidents, service disruptions, or user error.
The integration aims to provide a unified operational experience, reducing the need for separate infrastructure or external tools for resilience management. It also brings together procurement, onboarding, and operational processes within the Azure ecosystem.
The companies state that the collaboration is intended to support organisations modernising infrastructure and implementing AI-driven workflows, with a focus on maintaining data recoverability and security.
Commvault’s services will be available through Azure as part of the platform ecosystem, enabling customers to manage resilience alongside other Azure services. Customers may also use their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment when purchasing Commvault Cloud via the Microsoft Marketplace.
In addition, Commvault and Microsoft plan joint go-to-market activities, including co-selling and collaborative solution development, aimed at supporting cloud adoption and resilience capabilities for Azure customers.
