Marketplacer has announced its integration with Snowflake through Snowflake’s MCD (Marketplace Capability Delivery) Program. The integration links Marketplacer’s marketplace platform with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, supporting improved data connectivity and access to automation and AI-related capabilities for marketplace operations.
In modern commerce, some businesses are exploring models where growth is not dependent on holding inventory. Within this context, participation in Snowflake’s MCD Program is positioned as a way to enhance marketplace infrastructure and automation for enterprise retailers operating marketplace models.
Through the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, Marketplacer is able to process marketplace-related data such as transactions, seller information, product catalogues, and operational datasets. This integration is intended to reduce data silos and support more consistent access to information across commerce systems.
Key benefits described for customers include:
- Unified marketplace intelligence: Centralised access to analytics on marketplace activity, seller performance, and customer behaviour, reducing the need for duplicated data systems.
- AI-driven automation: Use of AI-based tools, including large language model (LLM) capabilities, to support tasks such as product taxonomy mapping, seller onboarding, and catalogue management, with reduced manual input.
- Operational efficiency: Streamlined data pipelines and native integration with Snowflake intended to reduce reliance on custom-built infrastructure.
The integration reflects broader adoption of marketplace and range-extension approaches by enterprises seeking growth while managing inventory exposure. Marketplacer states that its platform is used by organisations including Qantas, Clarks, and EE.
“The future of commerce is autonomous supply — businesses no longer need to own inventory to grow,” said Jason Wyatt, CEO of Marketplacer.
The collaboration is expected to support deployment across regions including North America, EMEA, APAC, and the UK, with applications in sectors such as retail, telecommunications, loyalty programs, and AI-enabled commerce systems.
