Portus Data Centres, a provider of carrier-neutral colocation solutions across regional markets, has announced the appointment of Thomas Tschirf as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, Tschirf will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, including financing, controlling, reporting, and the scaling of financial processes.

Tschirf brings more than 15 years of international experience in finance, corporate governance, and transformation within capital-intensive growth environments. He previously served as CFO and Managing Director at hep global, where he was responsible for finance, procurement, and IT across the group and its international subsidiaries. His career also includes senior management positions at Heidelberg Postpress and the Polar Mohr Group, as well as experience at Vestas Wind Systems.

His background in financing growth-oriented companies, scaling international organisations, and data-driven business management is expected to support Portus Data Centres’ financial and organisational development. Key focus areas include long-term planning, process optimisation, and the expansion of data centre capacity.

Portus is advancing a buy-and-build strategy through ongoing capacity expansion. In Munich, the company is developing the MUC2 facility, which will add 5.5 MW and bring the site’s total capacity to 7 MW. In Hamburg, a new development is planned to deliver up to 12.8 MW of capacity within an interconnected campus. In Luxembourg, the existing data centre has been expanded by an additional 1.0 MW.

Further projects are underway in Germany and neighbouring markets. The company has also secured an €80 million financing package in partnership with Arcus Infrastructure Partners, supporting continued expansion and development plans.
