Roel Castelein appointed as Director of Membership Services at The Green Grid

In order to drive the participation and growth of The Green Grid in Europe, IT expert Roel Castelein has been appointed to the newly-created role of Director of Membership Services. The Green Grid is a global consortium of more than 200 members dedicated to promoting resource efficiency in information technology and data centres through a holistic approach.

Siemon has released the results of comprehensive testing on the performance of plug and play optical fibre cable assemblies used in 40 and 100 Gigabit applications. Outlined in a new white paper ‘A Closer Look at Plug and Play MPO/MTP Assemblies’, the results clearly show that lower-cost generic assemblies from unknown suppliers can compromise performance in today’s high speed fibre optic links.
