FluidOne, a prominent provider of Connected Cloud Solutions, has announced the acquisition of SureCloud Cyber Services by its cyber division, Cyber Security Associates (CSA). SureCloud Cyber Services, known for its expertise in CREST and NCSC CHECK certified penetration testing and specialist cyber risk consulting, will now be integrated into CSA's portfolio. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering FluidOne's capacity to deliver robust cyber security solutions in response to the escalating cyber threat landscape.

SureCloud's decision to divest its cyber services arm reflects a strategic shift towards focusing on its Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software offerings. By concentrating on its core GRC business and integrating Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM), SureCloud aims to reinforce its position in the market.

FluidOne's investment in CSA in 2020 was prompted by the growing demand for cyber security expertise. Russell Horton, CEO of FluidOne and Chairman of CSA, commented, "Surveying our customers, their feedback was that IT MSP's shouldn’t 'mark their own homework.' This led us to operate CSA as a separate division dedicated to cyber security." Led by Dave Woodfine, CSA has emerged as a Centre of Excellence in cyber security, prioritizing Monitoring and Detection services.

The acquisition of SureCloud Cyber Services brings additional capabilities in penetration testing and incident response in-house, further solidifying CSA's position in the market. "Both myself and James Griffiths as the co-founders of Cyber Security Associates are delighted to add the world-class cyber services that SureCloud Cyber Services brings to the growing portfolio of CSA capabilities," stated Dave Woodfine.

Post-acquisition, FluidOne's leadership will take an active role in overseeing SureCloud Cyber Services, with Russell Horton assuming the position of Chairman. Ben Jepson, Commercial Director of SureCloud Cyber Services, expressed enthusiasm about the integration, stating, "CSA’s focus on technical excellence, its customers, and dedication to developing its people echoes our own ambitions."

The integration of SureCloud Cyber Services into FluidOne's ecosystem is expected to accelerate the growth of CSA and enhance the range of cyber services offered to clients. This acquisition underscores FluidOne's commitment to strengthening its cyber security offerings, aligning with the evolving needs of businesses in an increasingly digital landscape.
