Climb Channel Solutions, an international specialty technology distributor and wholly owned subsidiary of Climb Global Solutions, has announced the EMEA-wide extension to its strategic partnership with Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions - and widely recognised as the 'industry-leading' alternative to VMware.

The partnership extension follows the recent announcement made by VMware regarding changes to its pricing and licensing - a move that has left many customers searching for an alternative for their IT infrastructure needs. With its Scale Computing partnership extension signed, Climb Channel Solutions now has a comprehensive solution in place to enable its partners to support customers looking to move away from VMware.

In response, Scale Computing offers partners a superior solution with Scale Computing Platform, its award-winning hyperconverged virtualization platform. The ‘VMware Rip & Replace’ promotion is an initiative designed for immediate relief as partners transition their business and secure an alternative for customers.

Scale Computing’s platform is an infrastructure solution that allows organisations to do more with less. Scale Computing HyperCore software eliminates the need for traditional IT silos of virtualisation software, disaster recovery software, servers and shared storage, replacing these with a fully integrated, highly available platform for running applications.

“The announcement by VMware has created a huge amount of uncertainty across the market and has left partners and customers in a position where they are having to migrate quickly to VMware alternatives. We believe at Scale Computing that we offer a major upgrade from VMware,” said Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing.

“We are proud to extend our partnership with Scale Computing, especially at a time where VMware’s recent announcement has created a ripple effect across the market” said Dale Foster, CEO of Climb Channel Solutions. “At Climb Channel Solutions, our job is to pivot and adjust to help our partners solve the challenges they face - which is why this extension with Scale Computing is so critical right now.”
