Cyware has launched Cyware Quarterback, a simple-to-use AI-powered interface which will provide its enterprise customers and network members (ISACs, ISAOs, CERTs, MSSPs) a way to efficiently perform actions on their security infrastructure. Cyware Quarterback aims to democratise AI by adding an artificial intelligence layer on any organisation's set of disparate cybersecurity tools to assist in complex decision-making and effectiveness.

Cyware Quarterback can perform actions such as investigation and hunting, policy management, threat quarantine, case escalation, and more across 400+ cybersecurity and IT tools in reusable and composable playbooks, reducing overall mean time to respond (MTTR) and increasing threat-hunting productivity. It is purpose-built to empower analysts to make faster, more informed decisions, automating incident response by connecting applications, systems, and people as well as turning threat intel into intelligent actions.

“From the beginning, Cyware has pioneered the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. With the introduction of Quarterback, we’re delivering the next innovation that will help users of all skill levels improve their ability to respond to cyber threats while reducing security operations complexity,” said Harish SS, Senior Distinguished Engineer at Cyware. “Our continuous feedback loop on human-validated content is critical, and because of this, no other vendor will be able to match the security and business outcomes of our generative AI.”

Investigating large volumes of incidents with specialised custom interfaces of different products is tedious and time consuming. This challenge is exacerbated by complicated, manual processes to locate and distribute pertinent intelligence, leading to delays in action which ultimately weaken an organisation’s security posture. Cyware Quarterback offers security teams another team player that works with security analysts to elevate their capabilities and aid in complex threat response, saving time and effort while keeping them (humans) in control.

Additionally, Cyware Quarterback enables security pros to execute the right actions efficiently with the tools they have in place. It can also generate responses with various large language models (LLMs). One of its unique capabilities is the ability to compare responses from various LLMs to implement comprehensive analysis of security incidents.

“Generative AI is becoming ubiquitous in cybersecurity; however, the real value lies not just in the technology itself, but in how effectively it is applied," said Anuj Goel, CEO of Cyware. "Cyware Quarterback is purposefully designed to modernise security operations and help interconnected organisations swiftly take the right action, effectively reducing the ROI of bad actors and treating the cause, not just the symptom.”

Adding Cyware Quarterback to Cyware’s suite of security products will amplify ease of use and efficient AI-driven intel investigation, and orchestrate response across environments with incident summary and impact analysis.

Cyware Quarterback “beta” release will be available to select ISAC members starting May 31, 2024, offering a first look at its capabilities to a limited audience. The platform is slated for a broader general release in the weeks to follow, extending access to a wider range of users across the cybersecurity community.
