Atos has once again been heralded as a Leader in ISG’s Provider Lens™ Mainframes – Services and Solutions for Europe, marking the fourth year running it has received this accolade. In 2025, the technology giant further solidified its market position by securing recognition in four critical service quadrants: Mainframe Optimisation Services, Application Modernisation Services, Mainframe as a Service (MFaaS), and Mainframe Operations.

ISG's report underscores Atos’ comprehensive range of offerings, coupled with its significant market presence and strong position within the competitive landscape. The piece also mentions Atos' industrious nature and innovative strength.

Notably, the IT research firm elevated Atos from a Product Challenger to Leader status within the Mainframe Optimisation Services quadrant. ISG commended Atos for its vast experience rooted in Europe, noting the delivery of scalable, flexible services, and advanced AI modernisation techniques within its mainframe optimisation portfolio.

The Application Modernisation Services quadrant assesses revolutionary methodologies and automation tools for modernising mainframe applications. ISG applauded Atos for its risk-averse approach, underpinned by a robust migration framework that facilitates secure, gradual transformations of complex mainframe systems. Furthermore, the integration of GenAI into modernisation processes was highlighted as a key factor.

Within the Mainframe as a Service (MFaaS) quadrant, ISG critiqued Atos' capacity to provide shared mainframe offerings. They highlighted Atos’ commitment to supporting hybrid environments, leveraging tailored migration strategies, and developing comprehensive mainframe hubs that marry IBM expertise with the scalability of cloud technology, in partnership with major hyperscalers.

Analysing the Mainframe Operations quadrant, ISG identified providers who offer operations services for mainframe systems, both client-hosted and external. Attention was drawn to Atos' delivery of all-encompassing operations services, focusing on automation, cost efficiency, and hybrid IT integration.

Overall, Atos has distinguished itself through its innovative prowess and robust service delivery, coupled with established European roots that continue to reinforce its industry reputation. The company remains committed to supporting clients in their transformative journeys, leveraging AI-backed modernisation and process automation to enhance system performance and efficiency.
