Assurix pioneers real-time trustmark for MSPs

Assurix unveils a groundbreaking trustmark, offering live proof for MSPs to fortify proposals and minimise insurance challenges.

In a trailblazing move, Assurix has introduced an innovative, real-time trustmark tailored specifically for managed service providers (MSPs). This unique platform translates everyday Professional Services Automation (PSA), Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Microsoft 365, and security data into tangible evidence, aiding quality providers in securing more contracts, justifying their pricing models, and easing the complexities of insurance acquisition. This launch coincides with a notable shift in UK insurance policies toward continuous assurance.

Currently, sales teams are burdened with lengthy explanations of certificates and audits. Potential buyers, however, desire objective, verifiable evidence they can confidently review pre-purchase. To address this, Assurix affirms both cybersecurity hygiene and service performance, with results presented elegantly through a user-friendly web console. MSPs can share these results conveniently with prospective clients and insurers alike.

At the heart of this revolutionary approach lies strong adherence to standards. Initially, Assurix authenticates over 25 high-impact controls from an expansive 68-control library, fully aligned with the National Cyber Security Centre’s Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) 4.0. With read-only integrations, the system minimises operational kinks and mitigates administrative burdens and risks.

Clarity and accountability are cornerstones for potential customers. MSPs are granted a 30-day remediation window; failure to address vital control deviations results in the automatic suspension of the trustmark. A publicly accessible directory fosters transparency, aiding buyers in making informed supplier selections.

The initial uptake is promising, with 25 UK-based MSPs joining as part of the founding cohort. For further insights from customers, refer to Notes to editors.

Product Specifics

  • Real-time verification covering 25+ high-impact security and service measures from a comprehensive, CAF-aligned library.
  • Read-only integration compatibility with ConnectWise PSA, Halo PSA, ConnectWise RMM, Datto, Microsoft 365, and Inforcer.
  • Firm accountability measures, including a 30-day correction window and suspension protocols for unresolved critical issues.
  • Availability of a public directory for buyer verification of dependable MSPs.

The initiative has garnered positive attention from insurers, with signals of potential advantages for qualifying risks within Professional Indemnity (PI) underwriting domains.

“For years, MSPs have been asked to prove trust with PDFs. That era is over. Live controls beat static certificates—and they help great providers charge what they’re worth. Assurix makes trust continuous, with a 30-day fix window and suspension if standards slip.” — Mit Patel, Founder & CEO, Assurix
