Trustmarque Group and Ultima Business Solutions, two leading names in technology services, have officially completed their merger, thereby establishing a new powerhouse in the UK IT services market. This strategic union promises to deliver enhanced IT solutions to clientele across both public and private sectors.

With the merger finalised, the newly formed entity embarks on integration with a unified leadership team. Simon Williams assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer, while Jamie Beaumont steps in as Chief Financial Officer. Both leaders bring experience from Trustmarque and Ultima, respectively, aiming to streamline IT services for their customers.

Williams expressed enthusiasm, stating that the collaboration signifies an exciting new chapter built on innovation and expertise. He highlighted the synergy between Ultima’s automation capabilities and Trustmarque’s professional services, positioning the merged company to help clients navigate complex IT landscapes and realise potential growth.

Now featuring a workforce of over 1,000 employees, the combined business caters to more than 3,000 customers. The group is eyeing Gross Invoiced Income that surpasses £1 billion, solidifying its standing as a significant player among UK IT channels. The collective experience of nearly four decades makes it a formidable force, serving entities from FTSE 100 companies to secure government sectors.

According to Beaumont, new joint opportunities are already surfacing, from optimising multi-cloud capabilities to harnessing AI-powered operations, demonstrating the company’s commitment to adapting and evolving within a dynamic tech landscape.

At a time when IT channels face escalating infrastructure complexities, Trustmarque and Ultima aim to support clients by simplifying infrastructures and prioritising innovations like AI and automation. The robust alliances with key vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, and IBM further bolster their market position, enabling them to offer coordinated services with greater buying power.

Although operating under current brands initially, a revamped corporate identity is anticipated for launch next year. The merger intends to usher in a period of stability and growth amidst evolving digital demands, paving the way for continued customer success.
