Gamma has introduced a new feature for UK channel partners working with Microsoft Teams Phone. The International Operator Connect capability is designed to simplify the process of offering Microsoft Operator Connect services in multiple European markets.

UK partners often face challenges when customers require services across several countries. Traditional approaches typically involve navigating regulatory and operational requirements in each market. Gamma’s International Operator Connect is intended to address these complexities by providing a streamlined approach without requiring partners to manage local regulatory obligations directly.

The offering is structured around a tri-party model in which responsibilities are distributed as follows:

  • Gamma – Manages local regulatory requirements and compliance, reducing the administrative burden on partners.
  • Partners – Retain commercial ownership, including management of customer relationships and billing.
  • End Customers – Gain access to expanded services without needing to work with multiple providers.

Intended Key Benefits for Partners:

  • Access to multiple European markets through a single service provider.
  • Reduced operational complexity and risk through Gamma’s handling of compliance obligations.
  • Potential improvements in customer retention for clients with international operations.
  • Network coverage with reported 99.999% uptime to support service continuity.

The development forms part of Gamma’s broader focus on positioning Microsoft Teams Phone as a growth area for partners seeking to expand beyond domestic services. It reflects increasing demand for cross-border voice capabilities within the channel.

Gamma is currently running beta trials with selected partners ahead of a wider commercial launch. The company states that International Operator Connect aims to make international service delivery more scalable for partners.

The capability represents an expansion of Gamma’s service portfolio designed to support partners in offering international voice services while maintaining commercial control and potentially increasing revenue opportunities.
