Extreme Networks has hired seasoned security executive David Nuti as Head of Security Sales. Nuti's extensive expertise in leading sales and business development at top security companies will enhance and accelerate Extreme's expanding security initiatives.

A recognised expert in SASE best practices and strategies, Nuti has deep experience scaling disruptive technologies in the cybersecurity space, including the merging of network automation and cloud-native security. In his new role, he’ll work to advance Extreme’s cybersecurity revenue growth and drive the strategy and expansion of Extreme’s Universal Zero Trust Network Access (UZTNA) solution. He will report to Nabil Bukhari, General Manager of Extreme’s subscription business.

Previously, Nuti served as Chief Business Development Officer at Exium, a leading provider of SASE solutions, and was the SVP of North America for Nord Security’s B2B and enterprise business practice. He also held several leadership positions at Aryaka Networks.

Extreme is driving the convergence of networking and security with innovative solutions like Extreme Network Fabric, ExtremeCloud™ Universal ZTNA, Extreme Air Defense™ and ExtremeCloud SD-WAN. Over 5,000 customers have deployed Extreme Fabric to enhance security through network segmentation, zero-touch provisioning and automation, effectively minimising the potential blast radius of lateral cyberattacks. Universal ZTNA further sets Extreme apart, as the company was the first to integrate network, application and device access security into a unified solution, spanning from campus to branch.

Ed Meyercord, President and CEO at Extreme Networks, said, “As Extreme drives the convergence of AI, networking and security across the industry, we continue to augment innovation with strong leadership and expertise. The market is rapidly evolving, with increasing demand for integrated, AI-enhanced security solutions that address the complexities of modern digital ecosystems. Dave brings the gravitas and grit to help Extreme elevate its security leadership to the next level. He is one of many key pieces that will help Extreme continue to execute on our strategy while pushing the boundaries of innovation to help our customers drive more impactful business outcomes across their organisations.”

Dave Nuti, Head of Security Sales at Extreme Networks, said, “Security is top of mind for every C-Suite executive. Evolving threats and explosive data growth are creating new challenges for organisations, and they must be vigilant in balancing innovation and growth with rising security concerns. Extreme is an industry leader when it comes to driving the convergence of AI, networking and security, creating a new standard for robust, proactive cybersecurity in a hyperconnected world. I am excited to bring my expertise to help our customers better leverage Extreme’s security solutions to create more operational efficiency and excellence across their organisations.”
