Juniper will become APFN’s strategic supplier of core, metro and edge IP routing platforms. This relationship will enable Juniper to implement large network equipment solutions across the UK.

Juniper’s PTX Series Routers, MX Series Routers and ACX Series Routers will deliver proven network performance at the scale of tens of terabits per second across the APFN platform, all while minimizing its carbon footprint. This will ensure that each of APFN’s Points of Presence (POPs) is equipped with the necessary capacity, resilience and latency reduction capabilities, allowing APFN to offer its wholesale partners the reliable infrastructure they need to deliver internet services to homes.

“APFN has rapidly scaled to be a national-level platform,” explained Ronan Kelly, APFN Chief Technology Officer. “To achieve our goal of delivering amazing service experiences, we required a partner who could come on that journey at a pace that matched ours. Juniper demonstrated a highly collaborative approach alongside a passion for helping APFN scale, giving us the confidence that together we could achieve our goal. APFN’s seasoned engineering leadership team has also had positive experiences with Juniper solutions in the past, so we knew we had found the right partner.”

“Juniper Networks is pleased to work with AllPoints Fibre Networks in this exciting relationship,” said Steffen Gienger, Vice President of Service Provider Sales at Juniper Networks. “We are confident that Juniper’s Experience-First Routing solutions will play a pivotal role in supporting APFN’s expansion and delivering exceptional service experiences across its platform.”

More than 17 million UK homes and businesses can now be connected via the APFN wholesale platform, with the number growing each day. APFN’s network strategy and partnership with companies like Juniper will translate into a highly streamlined, efficient service for its customers.
