In a significant development, Hitachi Vantara, a leader in data storage and hybrid cloud management, has announced that its Virtual Storage Platform One Software-Defined Storage (VSP One SDS) is now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This aligns with Hitachi Vantara's strategy to provide streamlined deployment and management with the trusted Azure platform, facilitating customers in managing data seamlessly across both Azure cloud and on-premises systems.

The inclusion of VSP One SDS in the Azure Marketplace aims to support enterprises confronted with modernisation pressures. The platform simplifies IT operations, integrating provisioning, compression, and replication capabilities to help businesses manage costs effectively in increasingly diverse environments. Speedy deployment and centralised control give organisations the ability to oversee storage from a single interface, mitigating the need to modify existing applications.

Organisations today face the daunting challenge of modernising cloud infrastructure amid staffing shortages and increasing complexity in hybrid and multicloud operations. A study by IDC reveals that 82% of cloud buyers identify a need for cloud modernisation. Hitachi Vantara's SDS solution is positioned as a standardised, scalable option with inbuilt thin provisioning and advanced enterprise-grade compression features, reducing cloud storage costs by up to 40%. These capabilities enhance enterprise resilience, agility, and operational efficiency with seamless migrations and faster DevOps cycles.

The platform also offers robust disaster recovery solutions and boasts a 99.999% uptime, promising continuous availability and enhanced resilience. These features collectively eliminate fears of infrastructure disruption, ensuring seamless business continuity.

“By introducing VSP One to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace,” states Octavian Tanase, chief product officer at Hitachi Vantara, “we deliver heightened levels of resilience, efficiency, and simplicity to Azure users.” Collaborations with partners are central to this value enhancement, fostering flexibility and economic advantages for organisations as they modernise via Azure cloud.

Additionally, this partnership broadens the spectrum of options available to clients regarding the introduction, deployment, and management of hybrid cloud operations. An adaptable and reliable Azure cloud integration grants organisations the leverage to enhance their protection mechanisms and optimise storage use, eviscerating the technical barriers that often accompany hybrid IT deployments.

The VSP One platform supports various storage types, abolishing silos and delivering an optimised storage experience across all data environments. This seamless data movement supports agile and proficient IT environments.

The collaboration comes in tandem with emerging strategies to simplify data handling and elevate operational efficiency across distributed systems.
