Viatel strengthens services with Highlight partnership

Viatel partners with Highlight for unified network performance management, enhancing transparency and efficiency for their extensive customer base.

Viatel Technology Group, a technology provider based in Ireland, has embarked on a strategic collaboration with Highlight. This partnership will see the deployment of the Highlight Service Observability Platform, a Cisco Innovation Global Award winner, across Viatel's operations, benefitting its extensive mid-market and enterprise clientele.

Initially, Viatel plans to utilise Highlight to optimise the monitoring capabilities for its Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and Orion Autofailover services. This move arises as the company seeks to consolidate its service management tools—an effort catalysed by its recent acquisition strategy. Notably, the strategy resulted in the use of diverse systems across different technology teams. Once fully deployed, more than 100 Viatel engineers will be leveraging the Highlight platform for enhanced network performance management.

Externally, Highlight will be embedded within Viatel's managed service offerings, providing customers with powerful graphical dashboards and automated reporting tools. This step reflects Viatel’s commitment to improving customer satisfaction and ensuring a seamless and rewarding service experience by delivering clear insights into network health and service performance.

Conor Healy, Customer Success Manager at Viatel, added, “With Highlight, we gain visibility across all networks and technology services, enabling faster response times and proactive management.

“The platform’s single-pane-of-glass approach enables our network operations and support teams to quickly identify and address issues. The fact that Highlight is a looking-glass system means our engineers can safely investigate without affecting live services.”

Conor continued, “Highlight’s automated reporting capabilities drastically reduce the time spent gathering and analysing data from disparate tools. This will lead to more frequent, focused and transparent reviews with our customers.

The partnership not only underpins Viatel's reputation for innovation in managed connectivity and digital transformation but also reinforces its position as a market leader. By integrating Highlight's advanced capabilities, Viatel aims to set a new industry standard in managed services, characterised by transparency and efficiency that directly enhance customer relationships and satisfaction.
