IONOS, a European cloud and hosting provider, is expanding its footprint within the European multi-cloud ecosystem. This new development comes as Emma, a European cloud management platform, integrates the IONOS Cloud Infrastructure. This collaboration aims to provide companies and organisations with a secure, sovereign cloud option, accessible via Emma's platform.

Strengthening the Global Cloud Ecosystem

Through this collaboration, IONOS’ infrastructure combined with Emma’s multi-cloud platform aims to support organisations in managing complex cloud environments. It is designed to allow businesses and organisations to construct, optimise, and manage their diverse cloud infrastructures with efficiency.

This collaboration aims to offer a solution leveraging the platform’s flexibility for integrating and managing complex multi-cloud environments. Whether interfacing with hyperscalers or other IaaS frameworks, this approach seeks to promote transparency and consistent resource optimisation, driving down operational costs and ensuring full financial oversight.

Tailored to European specifications, the platform addresses international compliance challenges with security and sovereignty, designed to cater to the increasing demands for agile, compliant, and enduring solutions.

Executive Insights

Achim Weiss, CEO of IONOS, highlights the importance of multi-cloud approaches, which offer European businesses sovereign alternatives to hyperscalers. He emphasises that, alongside Emma, their focus on digital sovereignty may offer companies broader choices and strengthens their future digital endeavours.

Emma's founder and CEO, Dmitry Panenkov, echoes this sentiment, noting that their partnership with IONOS enables organisations to operate autonomously in the cloud. He adds that Emma's goal is to deliver sovereign, transparent, and ready-for-deployment cloud solutions.

This collaboration introduces an option in the European cloud landscape, as an alternative to traditional hyperscaler solutions.
