Westcon-Comstor extends Splunk collaboration to EMEA

Agreement creates growth opportunities for partners across the region, harnessing Comstor’s expertise across Splunk and Cisco.

Westcon-Comstor's Comstor arm has secured EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) distribution rights for cybersecurity and observability leader Splunk Inc.

In joining the Splunk and Cisco distribution community in the EMEA region, Comstor is building on its nearly three decades-old relationship with Cisco.

The agreement with Splunk, which follows Splunk’s recent acquisition by Cisco, will see Comstor leverage the combined power of the two brands to unlock new growth opportunities for channel partners.

Comstor will utilise its expertise in both the Cisco and Splunk portfolios to provide onboarding and scaling activities as part of its suite of value-added services, unlocking new growth opportunities for partners.

Cisco partners in EMEA will be able to access a dedicated Splunk portfolio for select Cisco customers via Comstor on a subscription basis, in line with existing purchase and consumption models. Meanwhile, existing Splunk partners gain the ability to deploy and sell leading Cisco solutions including AppDynamics and ThousandEyes.

The EMEA distribution agreement builds on an existing collaboration between Comstor and Splunk in Asia-Pacific.

“We are thrilled and honoured to be playing a role in driving the joint channel success of Cisco, Splunk and channel partners across EMEA,” said Willem de Haan, Executive Vice President, Comstor Europe and Comstor International at Westcon-Comstor. “Comstor is ideally equipped to enable partners to take advantage of the opportunities presented by this agreement, as reflected by the fact that around 90% of our teams are accredited with Splunk sales or engineer certifications. We look forward to using our Cisco and Splunk expertise to drive accelerated growth across the region.”

“Welcoming Comstor to our distribution family is an exciting milestone that strengthens our connection with Cisco Business," said Alexandra Turbitt, GVP EMEA Partner Organization at Splunk. “Comstor’s investment and ambition are truly inspiring, and we look forward to their contributions, particularly in attracting net new customers.”
