Fivetran now offers more than 700 pre-built connectors for seamless integration with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, expanding data access and interoperability for enterprises. This enhanced integration, powered by Fivetran’s Managed Data Lake Service, enables organisations to seamlessly ingest data from over 700 connectors, automatically convert it into open table formats like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake, and continuously optimise performance and governance within Microsoft Fabric and OneLake – without requiring complex engineering.

“Businesses today need a scalable, automated way to centralise data from hundreds of sources into a unified environment,” said George Fraser, CEO at Fivetran. “Our expanded integration with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake allows businesses to automate complex data movement, ensuring they have reliable, real-time data to power AI, analytics, and strategic decision-making.”

In 2024, Fivetran was recognised as a finalist for the Microsoft Americas Partner of the Year, driven by a 51% year-over-year increase in adoption and a 200% rise in Microsoft Azure Marketplace bookings. More than 500 companies rely on Fivetran’s automated data movement to streamline ingestion, optimise costs, and enable secure, AI-ready data lakes on Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.

“Hitachi Solutions is excited to expand our data lakehouse capabilities by integrating Fivetran’s Managed Data Lake Service on Microsoft Azure into our Empower Data Platform,” said Dr. Michael Green, Senior Technical Product Manager, Hitachi Solutions Empower Data Platform. “This integration makes it easier for businesses to consolidate diverse data sources, reduce infrastructure costs, and build AI-ready data lakes – helping them unlock transformative insights and drive revenue growth.”

Key Benefits of Fivetran’s Managed Data Lake Service:

Automate data ingestion from over 700 sources without complex engineering

Transform data into Delta Lake and Iceberg formats for ACID-compliant, query-ready storage

Integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake to support AI, analytics, and governance

Reduce infrastructure costs by optimising storage and compute for large-scale data workloads

“For enterprises, having high-quality, well-governed data is essential – not just for AI and analytics, but also for security and compliance,” said Dipti Borkar, VP & GM Fabric at Microsoft. “With Fivetran’s connectors integrating seamlessly into Microsoft Fabric, along with the flexibility of Hybrid Deployment, businesses can move data into AI-ready Microsoft OneLake to leverage the power of a range of capabilities while keeping sensitive workloads secure in their own environment. This gives companies the confidence to scale AI and analytics without compromising on control or compliance.”

As enterprises modernise their data lakes, managing ingestion costs has become a key concern. Traditional data movement methods can be costly and complex, requiring significant engineering resources and infrastructure investment. Fivetran’s fully-managed pipelines reduce these costs by automating ingestion, optimising compute usage, and eliminating the need for manual maintenance. With seamless integration into Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, businesses can efficiently load, govern, and analyse data, without the high operational overhead.

“Interloop has partnered with Fivetran because it has simplified our data engineering processes, allowing us to focus on delivering business outcomes instead of managing infrastructure,” said Jordan Berry, CEO at Interloop. “Fivetran’s Managed Data Lake Service seamlessly loads data into Microsoft Fabric in Delta Lake format while reducing ingest query compute and automating table maintenance. This lowers our total cost of ownership and increases revenue by allowing us to focus on what truly matters – delivering value to our customers.”
