TD SYNNEX expands Cohesity partnership

New partnership for the UK will bring new opportunities with AI-powered data security and management solutions and provide stability and consistency for Veritas partners.

TD SYNNEX has been appointed as a UK distributor for Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security and management, offering new potential for partners to grow their business and deliver cloud-native data management and protection solutions to their customers. The agreement will also provide stability and consistency for Veritas partners as they transition to the Cohesity partner programme.

The agreement will give partners access to Cohesity’s cloud-native data management, backup and recovery and security solutions via TD SYNNEX’s unrivalled market knowledge, services, and extensive experience.

Simon Bennett, managing director – Advanced Solutions, UK and Ireland, TD SYNNEX, stated: “This is an excellent opportunity for our partners to engage with Cohesity, a world-leader in cloud data security. It will enable them to offer customers a dynamic and flexible way to manage, access and protect their data across hybrid and multicloud infrastructures. We are aligning resources and making focused investments to ensure that we are ready to bring partners on-board with Cohesity and get them up to speed and taking solutions to market as quickly as possible.”

TD SYNNEX will also provide consistency and stability for Veritas NetBackup and Alta Data Protection partners, he added. “We have well-established, strategic relationships selling with Veritas solutions. With many years of close collaboration, we have considerable in-house acumen and implementation experience. We see even more potential to support partners in growing their sales of these key solutions now that they are part of the Cohesity portfolio and will be making sure that Veritas partners and their customers experience a smooth transition to the Cohesity channel programme.”

Commenting on behalf of Cohesity UK, Fraser Hutchinson, Vice President, EMEA North at Cohesity said: “TD SYNNEX has strong reputation for delivering strategic and outcome driven solutions to enterprise and public sector organisations across UK. We are excited about the prospect of working with them even closer to support our partners in growing and developing AI-driven security offerings and enhanced capabilities to their customers. The TD SYNNEX Advanced Solutions team has tremendous experience and expertise in the delivery hybrid, multi-cloud data security and compliance solutions and as such are ideally placed to help us drive our growth ambitions in the UK and Ireland market.”

TD SYNNEX UK and Ireland will also continue to support partners on former Veritas solutions. In February 2024, Cohesity and Veritas announced that they had agreed to merge and in November 2024 it was confirmed that NetBackup and the cloud-native version of the solution, Alta Data Protection, will become part of the Cohesity portfolio.

“TD SYNNEX are a critical global distribution partner for us, and this announcement represents the continual evolution of our worldwide strategic engagement,” said Dennis Sherwood, Director Global Distribution, Cohesity. The market leading capability and implementation expertise that TD SYNNEX brings to our joint customers adds an additional and significant differentiator for our AI-driven data security offerings across the world.”

At the same time, the formation of a separate business, called Arctera, was announced. Arctera has taken ownership and responsibility for the InfoScale and Backup Exec solutions. TD SYNNEX will continue to provide these products and to support partners in taking them to market.
