Nordic security expertise expands in Europe

MetaCompliance expands its foothold in Europe by acquiring Nordic leader Junglemap, enhancing its capacity to offer advanced security and compliance solutions.

MetaCompliance has acquired Junglemap, a Nordic company known for its security and compliance awareness solutions. This acquisition is a collaborative effort supported by Keensight Capital, a private equity manager focused on pan-European Growth Buyout investments.

Founded in 2002, Junglemap operates out of offices in Stockholm and Oslo. It is known for its NanoLearning methodology, which has established itself in the Nordic market for security and compliance awareness. With a client base of approximately 1,200 customers, Junglemap aids its clientele in navigating the complexities of rising cybersecurity threats and compliance requirements.

This union blends Junglemap's regional presence and innovative approach with MetaCompliance's automation-driven, scalable solutions. Clients of Junglemap will now have the opportunity to utilise MetaCompliance’s integrated human risk management platform. This includes phishing simulations and customisable awareness content, alongside continued benefits from Junglemap’s NanoLearning.

The merger creates an expanded Nordic reach for MetaCompliance, now firmly planting roots across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. This acquisition aims to assist more organisations in effectively managing human risk amidst escalating cybersecurity threats.

James Mackay, CEO of MetaCompliance, elaborated on the growth potential of this venture, accentuating the combination of Junglemap's local expertise with MetaCompliance's global capabilities, providing enhanced options and value to organisations committed to managing human risk.

The partnership with Junglemap is expected to channel MetaCompliance's comprehensive platform and innovative methodologies, opening doors for immense development opportunities for both customers and employees: a leap forward in establishing fortified security cultures.

Jean-Christophe Cini from Keensight Capital recognised the strategic importance of this acquisition, noting it not only reinforces MetaCompliance’s standing but also meets the surging demand for effective security awareness solutions in a region recognised for its heightened cybersecurity requirements.
