Scale Computing expands network solutions with Adaptiv networks acquisition

Scale Computing enhances its product offerings with the acquisition of Adaptiv Networks, integrating advanced SD-WAN and SASE capabilities for improved connectivity.

Edge computing services provider Scale Computing has recently announced the acquisition of Adaptiv Networks, a cloud-native software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and secure access service edge (SASE) solutions provider. This move expands Scale Computing’s portfolio through the integration of networking solutions.

The integration of Adaptiv Networks aims to advance Scale Computing’s SC//AcuVigil managed network solutions. The combination will include integrated SD-WAN connectivity, network performance optimisation, and centralised orchestration for distributed environments. This is intended to support organisations in maintaining uninterrupted, secure, and reliable connectivity.

For distributed enterprises, application availability and consistent connectivity are key considerations, and this acquisition aligns with Scale Computing’s focus on infrastructure solutions.

By incorporating Adaptiv Networks’ capabilities, companies gain access to a platform that includes SD-WAN and SASE functionality. This integrates with Scale Computing’s existing edge computing and managed networking software and services.

Adaptiv Networks’ solutions focus on simplifying WAN management while improving performance, security, and reliability across different operational scales. The combination of the two companies’ technologies provides a suite for deploying enterprise SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and remote VPN access.

Through this acquisition, the combined customer base now exceeds 9,000 customers worldwide. Customers may benefit from expanded connectivity options and a broader product portfolio that supports secure networking across environments.

With immediate availability of Adaptiv Networks’ solutions, these offerings will be provided as standalone products and as part of a managed network platform. Under the SC//Connect brand, Adaptiv’s Connect and Elfiq family of SD-WAN solutions will be marketed within Scale Computing’s channel partner ecosystem.

The integration of Scale Computing’s managed services and edge computing capabilities with Adaptiv Networks’ SD-WAN and SASE solutions brings together networking and infrastructure components for partners and organisations.
