Westcon-Comstor, a global technology distributor in cybersecurity, networking, and hybrid cloud solutions, has announced the expansion of its partnership with Proofpoint. This development makes Westcon-Comstor the first distributor in Europe authorised to deliver Proofpoint’s professional services.

The partnership focuses on scaling operations to offer solutions to channel partners. With the start of this collaboration, Westcon-Comstor will provide ready-to-implement deployments of Proofpoint solutions through a suite of partner packages based on industry best practices.

Driven by Westcon’s entry into the Proofpoint Certified Deployment Partner (CDP) programme, the initiative creates opportunities for partners to pursue service engagements and recurring revenue streams. This growth is expected to be supported by increased demand for cybersecurity solutions.

Initially, the partnership will centre on Proofpoint’s email security solutions. Through implementation support, partners will deploy email security frameworks for their customers. Plans are in place to extend these services to additional solutions within the Proofpoint portfolio.

The collaboration between Westcon-Comstor and Proofpoint is ongoing. Last year, Westcon-Comstor became the first Proofpoint Authorised Training Partner (ATP) in Europe. This enabled Westcon to provide Proofpoint-certified education and enablement services to channel partners and end-users across Europe.

Additionally, Proofpoint’s participation in Westcon’s AWS Marketplace programme provides partners with a pathway to expand their AWS Marketplace activities.

Authorisation to offer Proofpoint professional services has introduced additional collaboration opportunities between Westcon-Comstor and its partners.

Professional services represent a growing area within the channel due to their scalable model and potential for recurring revenue. Through the Proofpoint Certified Deployment Partner programme, Westcon-Comstor delivers these services to partners, supporting the implementation of Proofpoint’s solutions and contributing to customers’ security frameworks.

The partnership highlights the expansion of Westcon-Comstor’s role in professional services delivery. As the cybersecurity landscape evolves, such collaborations support service development across Europe.

In addition to technical capabilities, Westcon-Comstor uses data and market insights to inform its growth strategy within the IT distribution sector. As Westcon-Comstor expands its professional services delivery, it continues its focus on partnership development and service expansion.
