Illumio and Armis strengthen partnership to enhance IT/OT security

Illumio and Armis enhance their collaboration, focusing on improved IT and OT security through expanded platform features and strategic market alignment.

Illumio has expanded its partnership with Armis to enhance security in IT and operational technology (OT) environments. The collaboration combines capabilities from both platforms to address cyber risks across connected environments.

The partnership brings together Illumio’s platform, including Illumio Insights and Illumio Segmentation, with Armis’ Cyber Exposure Management Platform. The integration is designed to improve threat detection and support resilience in systems that may be exposed to attacks.

Key components of the integration include:

  • Comprehensive Asset Visibility: Armis provides device discovery and classification across IT, OT, and IoT assets. This information is shared with the Illumio Platform to support visibility and mapping.
  • Risk Prioritisation: Using intelligence from Armis, Illumio Insights can identify and recommend high-impact segmentation opportunities.
  • Dynamic Containment: Through microsegmentation, Illumio can limit lateral movement when anomalies are detected by Armis.
  • SOC Integration: The integration supports workflows across SOC environments, including SIEM and SOAR tools, to streamline threat investigation processes.

The partnership supports a Zero Trust approach across IT, OT, and IoT environments. It aims to strengthen security frameworks and reduce breach impact while supporting compliance with standards such as NERC CIP, IEC 62443, and NIST 800-82.

In addition to technical integration, Illumio and Armis are aligning their go-to-market strategies to expand availability of Zero Trust solutions. The collaboration is available globally for customers and partners.
