Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, has unveiled Project SnowWork, a new autonomous enterprise AI platform aimed at enhancing business workflows. Acting as a proactive AI partner, the platform enables users across business domains to request and complete multi-step tasks through conversational prompts.

Project SnowWork’s capabilities extend beyond basic task management. From constructing board-ready forecast slide decks to identifying supply chain bottlenecks, the platform is designed to autonomously execute workflows to support faster outcomes.

The emergence of the agentic enterprise reflects a shift in business operations, moving from AI experimentation to enterprise-grade automation. Project SnowWork connects intelligence, applications, and enterprise data to support coordinated decision-making at scale.

SnowWork provides an outcome-driven desktop experience, including autonomous execution of workflows based on governed data, delivery of recommended actions from generated analyses tailored to specific business roles, and secure orchestration of data, AI, and systems, supporting reduced backlogs and streamlined decisions. Unlike more general AI platforms, SnowWork is built on a unified source of truth with governed metrics and cross-cloud compatibility, with built-in security and compliance features.

Key capabilities include pre-built, persona-specific skills, offering role-aware AI profiles for functions such as finance and sales aligned with common workflows and KPIs; multi-step task completion, enabling workflows from data queries through to deliverables with reduced manual intervention; and built-in security, with access controls aligned with organisational governance policies.

While businesses have invested in AI, there is often a gap between potential and practical outcomes. Project SnowWork is designed to embed AI into day-to-day operations, enabling employees to act on insights more directly. The platform also reduces reliance on data specialists by supporting faster execution of tasks and minimising manual processes.

Snowflake’s Project SnowWork is designed to support the integration of AI into enterprise operations, with the aim of improving workflow efficiency and enabling more direct use of data-driven insights.
