The Gold and Elite designations mark a deepening of Ekco’s partnerships, signalling the growing technical and commercial weight the company carries within each partner's UK ecosystem. For Ekco's customers, the practical outcome is a more capable managed cloud and cybersecurity offering. Both accreditations represent a vote of confidence in the company’s capabilities - Ekco currently has 7 Nerdio accreditations with more to follow, while Mimecast Elite status requires a selection of technical certifications and sustained annual recurring revenue (ARR), and is held by just 27 partners across the UK.
The Nerdio Gold accreditation builds directly on Ekco's Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Specialisation, creating a combined capability that covers the full migration and operational lifecycle on AVD. The depth of the Nerdio partnership is now reflected in how Ekco delivers - using Nerdio's automation for image management, user provisioning and patching, Ekco migrates customers from legacy VDI platforms at lower cost and with minimal disruption - and passes Azure consumption savings back to customers through Nerdio's autoscaling.
Will Ominsky, VP and General Manager at Nerdio, said: "Ekco has built genuine technical depth with our platform over a remarkably short period; achieving Gold status in approximately half the time taken by most partners is a reflection of that. For customers looking to move to Azure Virtual Desktop, having an MSP with Ekco's level of Nerdio expertise behind the migration makes a material difference to how quickly and cleanly that move happens."
Ekco's appointment as a Mimecast Elite MSP reflects a similarly maturing relationship in human and AI risk. This brings Ekco closer alignment with Mimecast's product and go-to-market teams, which the company will draw on to strengthen its security offering for UK customers.
James Lee, Vice President EMEA Partner Sales at Mimecast, commented: “Ekco reaching Elite MSP status is a significant milestone. This is one of only 27 designations in the UK, and it reflects the genuine depth they've built in delivering Mimecast's solutions. What stands out is their security-first culture; it aligns closely with how we think about protecting organisations from the spectrum of cyber threats. We're excited to work more closely with their team to bring that to more customers.”
Ben Savage, UK CEO of Ekco, said: "We're extremely selective about the partners we work with, and when we commit to a partnership, we are fully committed - embedding their capabilities into how we design and develop services for customers. We've rapidly developed a deep expertise with Nerdio and Mimecast - integrating their capabilities into how we deliver managed services for customers."
Both accreditations reinforce a security-first managed cloud proposition that Ekco has been systematically building in the UK and beyond. The company is onboarding customers to the enhanced Nerdio and Mimecast offerings immediately.
