NAKIVO expands its reach in Italy with ICOS partnership

NAKIVO partners with ICOS to enhance its distribution of data protection solutions across Italy, aiming to tap into the dynamic Italian SMB and mid-market segments.

NAKIVO, a US-based company that provides backup and disaster recovery software, has entered into a partnership with ICOS, a value-added distributor headquartered in Bolzano, Italy. The agreement is intended to expand access to NAKIVO’s data protection solutions among IT resellers, system integrators, and managed service providers in Italy.

NAKIVO develops backup and replication software used for data protection across physical servers, virtual machines, cloud services, and SaaS platforms. The company reports serving more than 16,000 customers across 191 countries, including organisations such as Honda, Siemens, and Coca-Cola.

ICOS has over 30 years of experience in data protection, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity. It operates through offices in Bolzano, Ferrara, Verona, and Milan.

The partnership is aimed at strengthening the availability of NAKIVO’s solutions within Italy’s SMB and mid-market sectors. The software is positioned around ease of deployment, backup and recovery functionality, and cost considerations for organisations in those segments.

NAKIVO has been included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions. Through this collaboration, both companies are expanding their presence in the Italian IT distribution and services ecosystem, combining ICOS’s local market experience with NAKIVO’s software portfolio for data protection and recovery.
