IPCortex strengthens its commitment with leadership change

Simon Whatley steps up as General Manager at IPCortex, aiming to develop partner relations and enhance communications solutions.

IPCortex has announced the appointment of Simon Whatley as its new General Manager, marking a strategic step in the company's plans to strengthen its partner community and expand its PBX communications offering for UK enterprises.

In his new role, Whatley will lead the development of IPCortex's PBX and hosted portfolios. His focus will be on increasing support for partners and positioning IPCortex as a provider for resellers serving businesses with a focus on value.

The company's strategy includes its collaboration with telecoms provider Dalycom, where IPCortex provided services across more than 100 retail locations. This included supporting nearly 1,000 handsets for a national retail brand, offering an alternative to subscription-based UCaaS deployments.

Before joining IPCortex, Whatley worked at Digital Space, where he focused on developing wholesale relationships and channel engagement strategies. He has experience in partner-led communications services, which IPCortex says will support its future growth plans.

IPCortex's PBX platform supports on-premise, hosted and virtual deployments, enabling partners to tailor solutions to customer requirements while maintaining control over service delivery. Under Whatley's leadership, the company plans to continue investing in partner enablement to support resellers in delivering long-term value to their customers.
