Ekinops, renowned for its specialisation in optical transport and network access, has been designated as a strategic Technology partner by Telegraph42 Management GmbH. Based in Germany, Telegraph42 is a prominent provider of transmission capacity and fibre connections across the Eurasia region, aiming to enhance its international traffic bandwidth.

Telegraph42 has gained recognition as a trailblazer in developing new high-speed, low-latency data channels throughout Eurasia. The partnership between the two companies commenced in May 2024. Its core initiative involves deploying an alien wavelength solution on an existing network, utilising the Ekinops PM 200FRS02-2 platform to deliver a 100G wavelength service.

The Ekinops solution is marketed as a powerful, long-haul, and cost-effective answer, primarily due to its ability to transmit data over extended distances without regeneration. This approach is built on Ekinops' FlexRate™ technology, renowned for its compatibility with diverse DWDM manufacturers.

The announcement highlights Ekinops' robust expertise in alien wavelength deployment, providing operators a seamless operation of alien waves within their networks. This assurance is echoed by Mr. Waldemar Sterz, the CEO of Telegraph42, saying “Ekinops provided a platform for a high-performance long-haul solution. The technical and local knowledge as well as experience of the Ekinops’ team was unsurpassed, and the solution was impressively cost effective".

Moreover, Valerii Yasynovsky, CTO at Telegraph42, emphasised, "The additional network capacity has future-proofed our network substantially to match bandwidth requirements"

Frank Dedobbeleer, Chief Revenue Officer Group EMEA & APAC at Ekinops, expressed the mutual benefits of supporting Telegraph42's mission to improve IP transit performance across the region. With a significant dependence on connectivity services provided by Telegraph42, it's crucial to maintain network capacity that anticipates and meets customer demands effectively.
