Napier AI, the London-based financial crime compliance technology expert, has been chosen by Brighter Super, a prominent superannuation fund in Queensland, to elevate their compliance capabilities using the state-of-the-art Napier AI Continuum platform. This strategic upgrade aims to boost operational efficiency, scalability, and keep pace with stringent regulatory demands.

The partnership follows Brighter Super's significant organisational changes, including its merger with Energy Super and the strategic acquisition of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited. These transformative moves necessitated a robust, flexible, and cloud-based compliance solution to manage their expanding membership and increasingly complex infrastructure.

Successfully transitioning from a traditional on-premise setup to Napier AI’s cloud environment, Brighter Super now enjoys smoother post-merger integrations, enhanced scalability through Kubernetes, and refined compliance capabilities. These advances empower the company’s compliance teams to swiftly adapt to the ever-evolving financial regulatory landscape.

"Napier AI has been instrumental in helping us modernise and scale our compliance operations to keep pace with an evolving superannuation industry," remarked Shawn Chan, Chief Risk Officer at Brighter Super. He praised the platform's flexibility, user-friendly interface, and ability to ensure control without adding complexity, especially during structural changes.

Adopting Napier AI Continuum has enabled Brighter Super to centralise multiple operational environments into a cohesive production framework, thereby reducing operational overhead and simplifying compliance management. The platform also offers sandbox testing, enhancing rule calibration, and significantly boosting regulatory readiness by minimising false positives while maintaining strategic risk oversight.

According to Greg Watson, CEO of Napier AI, "Brighter Super is an excellent example of how a forward-looking institution can use technology to drive compliance transformation. By adopting Napier AI Continuum, Brighter Super has built a scalable, future-ready compliance operation that not only meets today’s regulatory expectations but also positions them for continued growth."

Managing assets exceeding A$36 billion for over 348,000 members, Brighter Super continues to expand its digital and operational offerings across Australia, ensuring enhanced service delivery and member satisfaction.
