Kocho strengthens cloud infrastructure with Zadara partnership

Kocho selects Zadara to enhance its cloud infrastructure, aiming to address market demands and easing operational challenges.

Kocho, a UK-based cybersecurity, identity, and managed service provider, has announced a partnership with Zadara, a sovereign AI cloud solutions provider. This collaboration is set to reinforce Kocho's cloud infrastructure, empowering them to address the evolving needs of their clients amidst shifts in the tech landscape.

The decision to integrate Zadara's solutions was driven by a confluence of factors. Escalating licensing costs, alongside the complexities inherent in traditional infrastructure models, motivated Kocho to seek a consumption-based approach. By transitioning to Zadara's OPEX-driven cloud model, Kocho is set to reduce upfront expenditures. This shift aims to allows for scalable resources, easing the challenges of capacity planning and providing an alternative to VMware's updated licensing structures.

Kocho's collaboration with Zadara aims to enhance its IT capabilities. "Zadara’s distributed edge cloud delivers performance, data sovereignty, and real-time AI processing without data egress fees or financial lock-in," shared Jacques Fourie, Global Operations Director at Kocho. The integration aims to allow Kocho's teams to focus on delivering enriched customer applications and services, moving away from purely operational tasks.

Clients of Kocho stand to gain through improved agility, quicker service delivery timelines, and assured data residency. Zadara's architecture aims to support multi-tenancy and ensure secure backups for Kocho’s clients. The compatibility with Azure aligns with Kocho’s Microsoft-centric strategies, allowing smooth integration for businesses invested in Microsoft's cloud technologies.

Alasdair Hill, Sales Director for Northern Europe at Zadara, expressed pride in their collaboration, acknowledging the partnership's potential to drive innovation within Kocho while maintaining high standards of performance, compliance, and scalability. This alliance helps demonstrate the importance of adaptable infrastructure in tackling the challenges posed by the growing demand for real-time AI processes and data-intensive workloads.
