The launch builds on Evolve IP’s continued investment in the Microsoft ecosystem. Since introducing Voice2Teams in December 2019, the company has supported partners and customers in adopting Microsoft Teams as a complete communications platform, combining collaboration capabilities with enterprise-grade telephony, resilience and global calling.

At the time, Microsoft Teams telephony was still evolving, and many organisations required a more feature-rich and flexible approach to voice. Voice2Teams enabled Evolve IP to bridge this gap, accelerating Teams adoption while supporting complex customer requirements.

Today, Microsoft’s vision for Teams as the central hub for modern work has become firmly established. Teams Phone has matured significantly, with Operator Connect emerging as Microsoft’s preferred framework for delivering PSTN connectivity.

Against this backdrop, Evolve IP is expanding its portfolio to include Operator Connect, enabling partners to deliver Teams voice services through a Microsoft-native provisioning model while maintaining access to carrier-grade expertise and service assurance.

Paul Harrison, Managing Director, Evolve IP, commented: “Since launching Voice2Teams in 2019, our objective has been to help partners successfully position Teams as a complete communications solution. As the Microsoft ecosystem has matured, Operator Connect represents the logical next step in that journey.

Microsoft has created a powerful framework for simplifying Teams telephony deployment, and our role is to ensure partners and customers can fully realise that opportunity - combining native Teams experiences with the resilience, security and strategic guidance that only a carrier can provide.”

Scott Rixon, Global Solutions Director at Evolve IP, added: “While Teams Phone has become significantly more capable, successful voice transformation still requires careful planning, architectural understanding and migration expertise. Many organisations underestimate the complexity involved in transitioning enterprise telephony into a cloud-native collaboration environment.

Operator Connect simplifies the operational delivery of Teams calling, but the real value lies in how organisations design their voice strategy, manage number porting, ensure service continuity and integrate value-added capabilities such as analytics, compliance and AI-driven call intelligence.

Our role is to help partners and customers navigate that journey confidently - ensuring they not only adopt Teams voice successfully but also unlock the long-term business value it can deliver.”

Operator Connect allows organisations to provision voice services directly within the Teams Admin Centre, reducing deployment complexity and accelerating time to value. This enables partners to streamline sales conversations, reduce technical overhead and scale their Microsoft practices more effectively.

However, Evolve IP believes that organisations increasingly seek more than just simplified telephony procurement. As Teams voice adoption grows, customers are placing greater emphasis on working with trusted providers that can deliver strategic migration support, regulatory expertise and long-term service management.

The launch also provides the foundation for Evolve IP’s next generation of value-added Teams services, including advanced real-time analytics and reporting, AI-driven call recording and conversational intelligence, cyber-resilient voice security capabilities, and innovation in Teams Phone Mobile enablement.

Through this continued investment in the Microsoft ecosystem, Evolve IP is helping partners deliver differentiated, enterprise-grade communications solutions that support the evolving needs of modern organisations.

Operator Connect is now available to partners across the UK and globally.
