Westcon-Comstor’s Tech Xpert community attracts 3,000 members, expands to APAC

The exclusive, opt-in community for technical channel professionals delivers training, events, and exclusive benefits.

Westcon-Comstor says that its Tech Xpert community, which enables technical professionals working in the channel to exchange ideas and engage in peer-to-peer learning in a sales-free environment, has reached the 3,000-member milestone.

Tech Xpert was launched across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region in 2022 to bring cybersecurity and networking experts together in a tech-to-tech setting.

Members become part of an exclusive, opt-in community of like-minded technical professionals, gaining access to training, insights, events, networking and points-based participation rewards to drive a competitive advantage and increase adoption of the latest technologies.

The emphasis is on sharing ideas, improving knowledge and encouraging best practice within the channel, ultimately helping partners deliver superior solutions to end-users.

Following success in EMEA, Tech Xpert is now being expanded to Asia-Pacific (APAC), giving technical professionals at Westcon-Comstor partners in the region access to the community. The APAC launch will cover Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong and India initially.

“As the first tech-exclusive, multi-vendor community for peer-sharing between partner, distributor and vendor, Tech Xpert represents something truly unique for the channel,” said Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Cybersecurity & Next-Generation Solutions at Westcon-Comstor. “Tech Xpert members gain exclusive access to our 3D Lab, which lets partners and their customers test multi-vendor cybersecurity solutions and use cases in a secure cloud environment within 48 hours of request. This, coupled with the recent introduction of our interactive Tech ConneX platform, is driving strong Tech Xpert momentum and growth. We fully expect this to continue in EMEA and be replicated in Asia-Pacific.”

“Participating in Westcon-Comstor’s Tech Xpert community has significantly enhanced my technical expertise," said Humberto Gonzalez, Technical Consultant at Axians Spain and Tech Xpert member. “The comprehensive support and access to peer-to-peer learning has not only expanded my personal capabilities but also given our company a competitive edge in the market.”
