NTT DATA collaborates with AWS for enterprise cloud solutions

NTT DATA teams up with AWS to modernise enterprise systems through agentic AI and cloud solutions.

NTT DATA, an artificial intelligence (AI) and digital business service provider, has secured a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This multi-year partnership aims to aid businesses in modernising outdated systems, adopting AI responsibly, and spreading innovation throughout various industries.

Blending NTT DATA's proficiency in cloud transformation and modernisation with the suite of AWS capabilities offers businesses solutions. This collaboration aims to provide the modernisation of workloads, establishment of secure cloud foundations, and tangible business outcomes in both regulated and high-growth sectors.

The agreement outlines four focus areas for enterprise reform:

  1. AI-driven Large-scale Cloud Transformation: This area focuses on accelerating the migration and updating of legacy on-premises workloads onto AWS, drawing on generative and agentic AI along with automation and advanced data platforms for intelligent operations.
  2. Industry-specific Cloud Solutions on AWS: NTT DATA is committed to providing industry-specific, repeatable solutions in sectors like financial services, healthcare, public sector, and more. Their Industry Cloud is overlooked by over 500 business components and AI agents.
  3. Modern Managed Services and Data Innovation: This initiative supports the operation of secure cloud environments at scale. It includes collaborating on advancing contact center solutions with Amazon Connect, aiming to enhance AI-driven customer experience (CX) solutions worldwide.
  4. Digital Sovereignty and Regulated Cloud Solutions: The focus here is on empowering European enterprises to adhere to stringent data residency and operational autonomy standards. As an AWS European Sovereign Cloud partner, NTT DATA will deliver sovereign-by-design cloud solutions meeting regulatory requirements.

To spur this collaboration, NTT DATA has established an AWS Business Group. The unit, closely aligned with AWS's sales and delivery framework, consists of approximately 11,000 AWS-certified experts aiming to certify nearly 10,000 more in the near future.

"Cloud and AI are central to enterprise transformation," said Abhijit Dubey, President and CEO, NTT DATA. “Through our Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS, we are helping clients move beyond experimentation to scale AI impactfully and responsibly. This collaboration underscores our commitment to deliver secure, industry-specific solutions that create tangible business value for our clients worldwide."
