Arctic Wolf enhances security operations with Sevco Security acquisition

Arctic Wolf's acquisition of Sevco Security aims to strengthen proactive security measures and asset intelligence across hybrid environments.

Arctic Wolf has announced its acquisition of Sevco Security, a company focused on exposure assessment platforms. Sevco’s cloud-native technology will operate on the Arctic Wolf Aurora Platform, bringing together asset intelligence, vulnerability context, and security control coverage. The integration is intended to help organisations identify and prioritise exposures across hybrid environments.

Sevco Security was recognised as a Visionary in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Exposure Assessment Platforms. The company’s platform provides security teams with a system of record for assets and exposures.

As organisations seek to improve their security posture, exposure management has become an area of focus. Security teams require visibility into existing assets, levels of exposure, and weaknesses that may pose risks.

Managing exposure and risk allows organisations to move from static vulnerability lists to prioritised actions. This reflects a broader shift toward approaches designed to address expanding attack surfaces and operational risk.

The addition of Sevco Security to Arctic Wolf’s platform is intended to expand asset and exposure visibility within the Aurora Platform. The combined capabilities provide organisations with a view of assets and exposures across their environments, along with prioritisation informed by exposure context.

The integration also supports remediation workflows designed to address identified exposures while maintaining existing security operations processes.

Gartner has predicted that organisations integrating exposure assessment data into IT and business workflows may experience lower levels of unplanned downtime caused by exploited vulnerabilities by 2027, compared with those relying on isolated vulnerability management tools.

The acquisition brings Sevco Security’s asset and exposure management capabilities into the Arctic Wolf platform. The combined technologies are intended to provide organisations with visibility into assets and exposures and support prioritisation and remediation of security risks across their environments.
