Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team has entered into a partnership with Zscaler, focused on the use of Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform to support the protection of team systems and data, including car design information and race strategy data.
Formula One is a highly data-intensive motorsport environment, where large volumes of information are processed in real time to support performance on and off the track. Through this partnership, Aston Martin Aramco works with Zscaler to help secure this data, which is used in time-sensitive decision-making during race events. The approach is centred on enabling direct connections between users and applications while reducing exposure to broader network access.
In global operations such as Formula One, information is continuously exchanged across different regions and time zones. During a race weekend, more than one terabyte of telemetry data can be generated from onboard car sensors and transmitted to engineers for analysis. Both organisations operate in contexts where very short time delays are significant, both for racing performance and cybersecurity response.
Under the agreement, Zscaler serves as the team’s Global Cybersecurity Partner. The Zscaler branding appears on the AMR26 car, including areas such as the nose, seatbelts, and wing mirrors, and is also present on driver race suits during the Austrian Grand Prix.
The partnership reflects Aston Martin Aramco’s focus on developing its technical operations and digital infrastructure within the demands of modern motorsport, with Zscaler’s platform positioned as part of its cybersecurity approach for handling performance-related data and systems.
