The Tennessee Titans, an Tennessee Titans, have partnered with Extreme Networks to upgrade wireless connectivity at the newly established Nissan Stadium. The venue is described as the first to implement Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless technology.
The upgrade includes a Wi-Fi 7-based network designed to support connectivity for fans throughout the stadium. This is intended to enable activities such as mobile content sharing, streaming, and access to in-stadium services with improved speed, reliability, and capacity, particularly in high-density conditions.
Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless technology combines antenna systems from MatSing with access point technology from Extreme Networks. The system is designed to extend coverage across the stadium and support large numbers of simultaneous users.
The deployment also includes several components from Extreme Networks’ platform:
- High-speed Wi-Fi 7, intended to support streaming and real-time sharing across high user volumes
- Extreme Network Fabric, which provides automated network management features such as self-healing, policy-based control, and scalability
- Extreme Platform ONE, which integrates network management, analytics, and AI-based tools in a single system
As part of a wider NFL adoption of similar technologies, the Titans are among multiple franchises using Extreme Networks solutions. The system is also intended to provide operational data insights, including information on fan engagement and application usage during events.
The stadium is expected to host major sporting events, including references to future events such as Super Bowl LXIV.
