Identity security meets real-time threat response

SailPoint announces new integrations with CrowdStrike to bolster identity-based threat response, advancing security operations and decision-making capabilities.

SailPoint, a provider of enterprise security solutions, has unveiled integrations between its Identity Security Cloud and the CrowdStrike Falcon platform. This development aims to improve data sharing and automate workflows, effectively enhancing organisational capabilities to discern and counteract identity-based threats.

The newly-established links combine SailPoint’s identity governance expertise with the Falcon platform—encompassing Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security, Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, and Falcon Fusion SOAR, now integrated within CrowdStrike Charlotte AI. This alliance aims to offer customers multiple advantages:

  • Integrating insights from CrowdStrike identity risk data within SailPoint to improve risk-based access decisions.
  • Importing SailPoint's identity particulars into Falcon's Next-Gen SIEM to correlate user activity and access with potential threats.
  • Utilising Falcon Fusion SOAR to trigger SailPoint remediation actions, such as disabling accounts or revoking access, enabling security teams to respond more efficiently.
Incorporating identity context into Security Operations Centre processes aids teams in understanding not only ongoing events but also those involved and potential impacts on access. The collaboration with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform allows SailPoint clients to marry identity with threat data, enabling enhanced decision-making in security scenarios.

CrowdStrike underscores the value of choice and compatibility for their clients. The streamlined connections between SailPoint and the Falcon platform introduce identity parameters into threat detection and response procedures, allowing security operatives to react promptly and confidently.

Addressing the intricate task of securing identities—be they human, device, or AI-based—remains a significant hurdle for organisations. By uniting digital identity with threat intelligence, organisations can solidify their defence mechanisms and quicken their threat counteraction strategies.

By combining the capabilities of CrowdStrike and SailPoint, the solution seeks to strengthens security while helping businesses respond more effectively to emerging threats.
