Guardz strengthens MSP strategy with appointment of Rob Rae as Strategic Advisor

Guardz taps MSP veteran Rob Rae to guide its channel-focused cybersecurity strategy, helping MSPs protect SMBs amid a rising threat landscape.

Guardz, a cybersecurity platform designed specifically for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and their small to mid-sized business (SMB) clientele, has strengthened its leadership team. The platform recently announced the appointment of Rob Rae, an IT channel and MSP community leader, as a strategic advisor. Rae is set to strengthen Guardz’s MSP-centric strategy, foster ecosystem development, and enhance industry engagement.

Currently, Rae holds the position of Corporate Vice President of Community and Partner Experience at Pax8. In his new role with Guardz, he aims to provide key insights into community engagement and the evolving security landscape within the MSP ecosystem. This guidance intends to help MSPs face increasing cybersecurity threats and customer expectations while maintaining business operations.

Rae will collaborate closely with the Guardz team, delivering advice informed by his network in the cybersecurity and channel communities. His involvement will encompass select initiatives, including participation in high-profile industry events and significant ecosystem activities. The aim is to provide a market-informed perspective to support the ongoing development of Guardz.

With cyber threats on the rise and SMBs frequently targeted by malicious entities, MSPs are under pressure to enhance security measures without complicating operations. Guardz provides MSPs with an AI-native platform designed to streamline cybersecurity and support a proactive, unified approach, particularly for SMBs with limited resources or expertise to manage cyber threats.

Rob Rae's involvement is intended to reinforce Guardz’s mission to support MSPs in delivering scalable security solutions that reflect the real-world needs of their clients.
