Bitdefender has appointed Frank Koelmel as Chief Revenue Officer, aiming to enhance global business growth and drive go-to-market initiatives.

Bitdefender, a cybersecurity company, has appointed Frank Koelmel as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for its Business Solutions Group.
In this role, Koelmel will be responsible for overseeing global business development, with a focus on revenue growth. His responsibilities include guiding go-to-market initiatives during the company’s current expansion phase. He will also work on aligning sales, marketing, and customer success functions to support operational performance and address challenges linked to evolving cyber threats and changing data regulations.

Koelmel joins Bitdefender during a period of change in the cybersecurity landscape, including the growing use of artificial intelligence and the emergence of new types of threats. His experience in sales and customer-focused leadership roles is expected to support efforts to position security capabilities as part of broader business operations. He previously served as Chief Revenue Officer at Logpoint and has also held leadership roles at Cybereason, Palo Alto Networks, and FireEye.

GravityZone is a security, risk management, and compliance platform offered by Bitdefender. It includes endpoint protection and detection and response capabilities, along with managed security services.

The company has also introduced PHASR (Proactive Hardening and Attack Surface Reduction), an endpoint security solution that uses behaviour-based hardening approaches combined with threat intelligence to reduce attack surfaces and support endpoint protection.

Bitdefender is used by organisations across various sectors globally. The company continues to focus on providing automated and scalable cybersecurity tools designed to address advanced threats. Koelmel’s background in building sales teams and managing partnerships is expected to contribute to the company’s commercial development efforts and international presence.
